Hello! Thanks for visiting. My name is Laura. I work with people and their stories. I love community building and facilitating meaningful conversations. 

I do a few things with my time. I am Careers Counsellor at a public high school, and I offer my services editing CVs and cover letters. You can commission a piece from me, request some editing on your CV or discuss a potential project by getting in contact here.

Prior to my current work, I co-founded Green Room Award-winning performance collective Grit Theatre in 2009 and we created work until 2015. I have also used my love of words in communications and publishing consultancy. My clients included Bolinda Publishing, Australian Scholarly Publishing, Advision, The Butterfly Club, Feminist Writers Festival, Ilbijerri Theatre, La Trobe University and Maxine McQueen.

For fun, I write fiction and non-fiction works, and have been published in Slow Magazine, Maggie Journal, Concrete Playground, Keep Brave and Accidental Discharge magazine. I’ve interviewed Ita Buttrose and written about picking vegies in my Gran’s backyard.

I’m (slowly!) working with a co-author on a book for mid-career women navigating the world of work. Watch this space.
